Rafting trip on the San Juan River

San Juan River runs through the town of Pagosa Springs. The white water rafting trip looked like fun.

It wasn't as rough as I expected, Iv'e been on drift boats down the Smith and Trinity rivers in California that were a lot rougher, but it was fun.

Durango Railroad trip on 4th of july

We took the train from Durango to Sliverton for the 4th of July celebration in Silverton.

It was a 3-1/2 hour trip up to Silverton.

There was live music and dinner, when it turned to dusk the fireworks started.

It was one of the best I've ever seen, for over 30 minutes it was non stop fireworks.

Then it was over and we had to long trip back down the mountain, we finally got back to the time share at 3:30am July 5th.

Horse back riding

We ventured out to go horse back riding.

Neither Jeannette or I have been on a horse for years (40), but we figured what the heck.

3-1/2 hour ride through valleys and ridges.

Pagosa Springs

Here's our time share we stay in. We were right on the lake.

Vacation in Colorado

Spent two weeks on vacation.
We drove to Bakersfield to see our grandsons and celebrate my dads 75th birthday.
Then we drove to Kingman Arizona to pick up my niece and in-laws for the trip.
On the way to Pagosa Springs we stopped by Page Arizona to see Antlope valley then traveled through Montument valley.
We spent a week in Pagosa Springs, then drove back through Kingman to drop off the relatives.
Rebekah needed to get back home for her cheer camp and UC Davis.
Here's some high lites of our trip.

Las Vegas

For our anniversary in April we took a flight to Vegas and stayed in our timeshare, The Grand Desert.

My brother in law and girl friend drove out from Bakersfield to meet us there. We had a day before they got there so we rented a car and drove to Laughin for the day. Good choise we took some of their money with us, that doesn't happen very often.

We met up wtih Larry and Caroline, went to a couple of shows and gambled.

Valentines Day weekend

Jeannette and I decided to drive up to our home in Oregon. Much to our dismaze, we never made it. We got all the way up pass Redding and ran into a foot of snow and knew that we had higher elevations to go.. So we decided to go to the coast and drive down HWY 1 to San Francisco.

It was a great trip

The new year

Spent New Years at the town convention center watching a comedy show with the wife and my step daughter. Great show.
It beats driving home with a bunch of crazys running around.
